As I wrap up my journey through EDCI 339, I’m walking away with a deeper understanding of what makes online and open learning effective, inclusive, and engaging. From exploring the evolution of educational technology to thinking critically about digital literacy, I’ve learned that online education is not just about access, it’s about intentional design, meaningful connection, and care. Each week encouraged me to reflect on my own learning experiences and challenged me to think about how digital spaces can be made more human, equitable, and adaptable for all learners.

What I enjoyed the most was the Free Inquiry Project. Diving into the world of VR and gamification helped me experience how immersive tools can make learning fun, meaningful, and empowering, even outside a traditional classroom. The freedom to explore, create, and take risks reminded me that education can happen anywhere, and that curiosity and experimentation are powerful learning tools. Another highlight of this course was the breakout group discussions during class, which were always engaging and interactive. They gave us the space to talk openly, share ideas, and understand different perspectives in a more relaxed and familiar setting. It made the course feel less like a regular online class and more like a connected, supportive community. That sense of belonging made a huge difference. It helped me feel more motivated, more present, and honestly, made learning a lot more fun.

Thank you again to everyone for staying connected throughout this journey.
